Holiday Survival Guide

Welcome to December! This month can be full of so much joy, but it can also present some hurdles for some of us. Sometimes those hurdles come in the form of too many treats and sometimes they show up in the form of a stress-inducing event. Whatever December has in store for you this year, I hope this survival guide will help. All of these pages are designed to be beautiful print-outs that you’ll enjoy looking at throughout the season.

First up, you’ll find a page for you to list some goals for your month. Do you want to limit your intake of sugar? Alcohol? Maintain your weight? Lose 2 pounds? Keep from being totally stressed out when Aunt Fancy Pants comes to visit? Whatever it is, write it down.

Then print out the second goal sheet that has space for specific action steps. Be detailed with your action steps. You really need to print this out and keep it front and center to help yourself stay accountable to your goals.

There’s a page of general tips for getting through the holidays healthier than you came in.

You’ll also find a self-care checklist. I’ve started it for you with some general ideas, but left a few blanks for you to fill in with your favorite self-care activities. Be sure to jot down the date and time you plan to carry out each of these items. Again, this helps to keep you accountable to your plan.

And last, but not least, a little fun page for you to jot down some new holiday recipes you want to try. Besides this one, of course, a few of my favorite websites for recipes are www.paleorunningmomma.com, www.fedandfit.com and www.againstallgrain.com. If you find some good ones, please share them in the comments on this page.

I hope your holidays are filled with joy and wonder and no stress whatsoever!
