Well, folks, this is hardly a recipe, but it’s the only way I can tolerate asparagus so I thought it would be good to share.
As much as I like and eat lots of vegetables, we really do eat the same ones over and over again. So in an effort to branch out, and to celebrate the spring season, we’ve been eating a good bit of asparagus lately. I know lots of people consider this a delicacy, but I’m not a super fan.
Grilling brings out the best in asparagus and is by far my preferred way to eat it. You can get all fancy and make hollandaise sauce, but we never go to that trouble. This is a quick, easy side to throw together with any meal. We particularly like it with grilled fish.
You don’t have to have an actual grill to get that grilled taste. A grill pan or even broiling will simulate that outdoor grilled flavor.
